Apple macOS L2TP VPN
We have used macOS Sierra to create this guide.
1. Open "System Preferences" and click on "Network".
2. Click the "+" button on the network connections pane.
3. For the drop down menus select "VPN" for "Interface" and "L2TP over IPSec" for "VPN Type". In the "Service Name" field you can put any name like "Cienen" and then click "Create".
4. Enter the server address in "Server Address" field and your VPN account username in "Account Name" field. Then click "Authentication Settings".
5. Select "Password" option and enter your VPN account password in the field. Then select "Shared Secret" and enter the Pre-Shared key that you have received with your VPN account details email when you have placed your order with us and click "OK".
6. Click the "Apply" button and then click the "Advanced" button.
7. Tick "Send all traffic over VPN connection" and click "OK".
8. Ensure the "Show VPN status in menu bar" is ticked and click the "Apply" button. Then press "Connect".
